Consider this the introduction

I've been building software for myself and others for about seven years now and I never got around to writing about any of it.

Recently I got to thinking, it'd be great if I could look back on my journey someday. So how do I actually do that? Videos crossed my mind first, but between recording and editing, that's a lot of time I don't really have right now. Blogging seemed like the next best thing. And what started as an idea for a personal journal turned into something that could actually be useful for someone else on their own software development journey too.

Some of my posts will be technical. Infrastructure decisions, things I got wrong before I got them right, the "boring" stuff that keeps a product running. Some of it will be about building a business as a 20-year-old living in Jamaica, which comes with its own set of problems most startup advice doesn't cover. Occasionally I'll write about economics because I read about it for fun and it bleeds into how I think about everything else, and probably whatever else I'm into at the time too. And every now and then, just life.

Consider this the introduction. If any of that sounds interesting, my newsletter below is the easiest way to be notified of whatever I post. I've got no fixed schedule, so it's less "sign up for updates and spam" and more "I'll let you know when there's something worth reading."
